"GREEN CHALLENGER"
L贸pez Gracida Joselyn Judith
"Green Challenge" is a program to efficiently revegetate and reforest green spaces in Mexico City in such a way that humidity increases and the effects of climate change are realized. It is located in Jardines de Ignacio Zaragoza, Calzada de Tlalpan and Eje 5.
The climate is temperate and suitable for planting more plants in green areas.
In order to plant trees and plants in streets, avenues, medians, urban parks and on conservation land, thus creating a greener city. This is thanks to the participation of the Secretaries of the Environment (Sedema).
We have improved the air quality of some of the city's avenues to recover biodiversity.
In addition, we have created small gardens for pollinators for the best production of flora.
We have noticed that vegetation increases humidity and prevents the ground from heating up.
We have observed that trees reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
In the following weeks
I am going to check that the infiltration of the water absorbs deep layers of the soil.
I am going to plant more trees to produce more oxygen and retain pollutants.
I am going to distribute bulletins at the Texcoco High School to promote the planting of green areas.
